We must be aware of the crisis before our familiar home is destroyed. However, it seems that the irrevocable earth is not in the near future, but in the present reality. None of you would like to be told at the place where you lost something precious, "I told you". For those who were not surprised by the news of February 8, 2024, the reason is simple. "Sooner or later IT will come." The following facts were reported that day. The average global temperature over the past 12 months has risen 1.52°C above pre-industrial levels, the highest temperature ever recorded. Before long, the earth's environmental problems will be referred to not as climate change, but as a climate crisis. The summer of 2024 is predicted to be even hotter than last year when it was at its worst. Many things can be ascribed to "IT," including ART AFTER HUMAN, an exhibition that began in 2023 and is concerned with posthuman art. Its first work, Metapets by Thomas Vautier, evokes a new kind of embryo. That unknown life form awaits today in a subterranean capsule for its connection to posthuman art. And this year, 2024, 18 art perfumeries will be buried. There, compressed as scents, are the gateways to humanity's imagination, curiosity, criticality, experimentation, and different dimensions. Will they disappear in the soil someday? Or will they reach the next existence of mankind? What will the art perfumery that transcends evaporation bring to us? We must begin to prepare for resistance and hope. Because our evaporation may come sooner than we imagine. Art perfumery, which is not a perfume to be smelled but a perfume to be read, produces an effect different from the Proust Effect. Rather than reviving memories of the past, it recombines them to create new memories.
